**UPDATE** Here is the corrected answer key for the End of Mod 3 Study Guide.
This week, classes 1 and 2 will be taking their End of Module 3 test on Tuesday. Study guides were given out as homework on Friday, 2/23 and are the best resource to use to study for the test. Students may also use an index card during the test that contains formulas or helpful examples. Class calculators have not yet arrived, so students will need to bring their own calculator to class (this applies every day, but is especially important on test day). Module 4 is up next and we will be discussing percent and proportional relationships. Some of this module will be a review of topics covered in previous modules, such as markup, markdown, tax. commissions, fees and scale factor/drawings. Students will be converting between fractions, percents and decimals, comparing quantities using percents, reviewing percent increase and decrease as well as applying percents to various real-world scenarios. Class 3 will be moving on to geometry of circles (circumference, area) and of course, everyone's favorite --- Pi (π)! We will be doing quite a few fun hands-on activities that will help illustrate these concepts as well. We have been completing the Mid Module 3 test in chunks these last few weeks which has allowed students to demonstrate what they know after we cover a topic, versus waiting until we have covered all the topics (in case anyone was wondering when the test would be!). Have a great week! Comments are closed.
