Something I'm really passionate about is a notion called Growth Mindset. It's nothing new, however the more I read and learn about it, the more I want to ensure I embrace this philosophy in my classroom. Having a growth mindset means (to me) that you aren't afraid to take on challenging tasks, even if it means you may not be successful the first, second, or third.... time. Doing things that are hard helps grow your brain! Math can be hard, however the more you practice, the easier it will get.
