We are in the final stretch before Christmas break! I am proud of many students who are putting in the extra effort after school or participating in peer-tutoring and am seeing a positive impact in class!
Students in Class 3 are working on finishing up Module 2 and understanding how to solve linear equations. Here is a video that reinforces what we reviewed in class on Friday 12/15. Class 3 will be taking the End of Module 2 test on Thurs. The study guide can be found here. Students need to make sure they finish the test before leaving for break at the end of the day on Friday. Students in Classes 1 and 2 will continue their work in Module 2 with equivalent expressions and solving multi-step linear equations. Students will even be creating and illustrating some of their own word problems that can be modeled using equations to then share with the class. We will be working on solving inequalities most likely when we return in January. To celebrate this time of year, we will be having an upper school gathering at the end of the day on Friday. Students in my homeroom can also bring drinks/snacks to share with the class during math on Friday. See below for list of what to bring: Last name A - K: Salty snack L - S: Sweet snack T - Z: Drink Have a great week! |
