This is going to be a busy week for all classes! We have RTI Benchmark Testing on Wed. and the Cumulative Post-Test for math class on Thurs. This post-test DOES COUNT towards the student's math grade for the year. This is a test that all 7th graders in Delaware must take, it is not a Eureka test nor is it a test I create. Please ensure students take advantage of after school hours or other times during the day to ask questions if there is a particular topic they would like some extra help on. The daily warm-ups that we've been doing since September are another great resource I wanted to add as these are a review of concepts we've covered throughout the year. In addition to these, any graded assessments, exit tickets, study guides, INB and workbooks are other great resources to use to study.
Students in Classes 1 & 2 (when they are not testing) will continue working on Probability - methods for selecting samples, sampling variability and effect of sample size. Class 3 will finish their discussion of Lesson 10 (Simple Interest). This week we will probably not get through a lot of new material as class periods leading up to testing will focus heavily on review items. Permission forms will be going home shortly for the Service Learning event on Wed 6/6 (for 7th grade). Students will be split between one of two locations - Trap Pond State Park (Laurel) or Lums Pond State Park (Bear). Specific activities at these locations have yet to be finalized. End of year trip to Jolly Rogers is Friday, June 8th!! Have a great week and students - study hard and try to get plenty of rest! |
