Saturday 3/28 UPDATE: Hello families! Please click HERE for the 7th grade document outlining expectations and guidelines for next week's Virtual Learning Platform. Please note that students need to try to log into the new website for schoology (pcasaints.schoology.com) with their new passwords (what they used to log into the Chromebooks: studentID@PCA) BEFORE class on Monday morning. Friday 3/27 UPDATE: Please click HERE for a message from Mrs. Stouffer regarding the next steps for PCA's Virtual Learning Platform which will begin on Monday, March 30th. Thank you! TECHNOLOGY SURVEY Congratulations to our Kahoot winner, Makayla! Also runners up, River and Jonah! Way to go! I will be hosting another Kahoot Challenge on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. Also, a shout-out to several students who have already scored 100% for the Quizizz due on Thurs. night. THOMAS M, JORDYN, CHEYENNE, CHRIS and EMILY C Sunday 3/22 UPDATE: As we get ready for the virtual meetings this week, here are a few guidelines if you plan on joining at 9 am or 4 pm.
Hello everyone! As we do our best to get through this unique and challenging time, I want to keep encouraging students to make the best of our current situation. Read that book you haven't had time for, play board or card games with family members, try out a new drawing technique, create that comic you've always wanted to make, make a scavenger hunt for family members, learn a new skill online (language, card trick, meditation etc.). The possibilities are endless! Just a reminder to check out the important information on the right side of the screen. I have posted the overview of assignments for all 7th grade core subjects including teacher office hours. Don't forget to check out Special teacher's websites as well to ensure you are completing what is required for their classes. My virtual office hours this week are Mon. - Fri. from 9-9:30 and 4-4:30 via Zoom. My code is posted in Schoology. If you need any assistance connecting, please reach out! I will also be hosting an optional KAHOOT CHALLENGE on Monday, 3/23, from 9:30-10:00. I will create a Kahoot game and make the code available via the Zoom call (which normally ends at 9:30, but for this day will extend until approximately 10:00). Students can log into kahoot.it and type in the code and compete against their classmates! We may try out a few more friendly competitions throughout the week depending on how this goes. MARK YOUR CALENDARS! There is a new Quizizz code for this week! The code is 944769 and is a review of 7th grade math skills we've learned so far this year. It will be due Thurs. night. I also want to continue to encourage you to sign up for BRAINGENIE.COM as another resource for practicing math skills. Each topic consists of a short practice (where answers are checked so you know right away if you are on the right track or not) and also has videos associated with each skill. The dashboard tracks your progress and usage so you can see how you're doing. Also, don't forget about Dreambox. I've attached a one-page document of helpful information including login info. HERE. I am so proud of all the students who have been logging in and completing lessons! Keep it up! Stay safe everyone! Be sure to check out the main PCA web page (red COVID-19 update button) for school updates.
