4/3 UPDATE:
Make sure all assignments from this week are turned in by Sunday night at 11:59 p.m.! There is a list of Upcoming assignments that are due on the main screen once you log into Schoology and click on Math. It is on the right side. Many find this a helpful tool to use to ensure they have completed all assignments. Also, please note that ALL Zoom calls next week will require a password to join. I cannot post that password here, however I will have it posted in Schoology under the folder titled "Information and Links". Congratulations to our Quizizz Top 5 finishers (this was from the Live session I hosted at the end of math class today): Woo hoo! Chris (9 out of 9 correct) Cheyenne (9 out of 9 correct) Ryann (9 out of 9 correct) Makayla (9 out of 9 correct) Kaleb If you need some additional help with Module 4 topics (percents), Great Minds (creators of our Eureka curriculum) has been updating their video library daily. They are have completed Lessons 1-13 of Module 4. Check it out HERE! Way to go students! We finished Week 1 of our Remote Learning class! We can do this! 4/2 UPDATE: Make sure you have submitted your quiz by 11:59 p.m. tonight! Also, going forward, all assignments will be due by the Sunday following the week in which it was assigned. Hopefully this will allow students more flexibility to complete assignments especially if they are sharing technology with family members. It would still be helpful though to submit your exit tickets daily as this helps me see where students may need extra help and I can address the following day during class if a lot of students are having the same issue. I also wanted to give a shout-out to those students who have logged at least 10 minutes in Dreambox since we have been out of school (March 13th): Adriana, Dominic H., Natalie and Casmir. Keep it up! 4/1 UPDATE: Here are some links to assist you with a variety of topics, especially if you are having issues with Schoology availability during certain times of the day. Don't forget - Quiz tomorrow (Thurs 4/2)! It will cover Lessons 1 - 4. Pay close attention to the animal cracker example we completed in Lesson 2 and the Lesson 2 Exit Ticket. This will be similar to one of the questions on the quiz. Here is a link for additional review on Tree Diagrams. A few other "basics" of probability that will be important for students to learn... Experimental vs Theoretical Probability (click here for another explanation) What is an Outcome? Sample Space? and other definitions How to determine Probability using "or" & "and" What is a Tree Diagram? Hello Everyone! As we all try to get more comfortable with this new norm of virtual learning, I want everyone to know that we are all in this together! There will be a learning curve and some bumps along the way, but please reach out to me if you are struggling and we will work together to find a solution. I have posted the 7th grade virtual learning information on the right hand side of the page so you have it in a constant place each time you view my website. This is the same information that was linked in the Saturday 3/28 update below. Remember, there is a new Schoology platform that PCA will be using (pcasaints.schoology.com) and each student will also have a new password. It is their studentID@PCA (please note that PCA is all caps). This is the SAME password that students used to log into their Chromebooks in school. There will be no Quizizz this week as everyone has a lot to get used to and I don't want to overload anyone. I look forward to seeing as many students that can make it to the Live Class at 9:30 Monday morning! Please make sure you have Lesson 5 as well as your warm-up open and ready to go!
