Welcome to Week 5 of our Virtual Learning! I hope everyone is doing well this week!
In math class we will be covering Lessons 14, 15 and 16 where we will continue our discussion of sampling - how it differs from a population and what a random sample is as well as why it is important. We have several hands-on activities that we will do our best to conduct using Zoom. We will be analyzing word length in a poem, "Casey at the Bat", taking a look at the age of pennies as well as number of words in some famous children's books. On Thursday we will have a quiz on Lessons 13-15. Remember, if your student needs to complete a quiz or a re-take, please contact me as soon as possible so we can schedule it. I also wanted to remind any students that need additional support, there are some wonderful videos that Great Minds (creators of our Eureka curriculum) have posted since March. They have videos for all of Module 4 (percents) and are up to Lesson 11 in Module 5. Check them out HERE! Thank you for your support and please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions you may have. My extra help time is at 11:30 each day for students who have questions.
