New pictures have been posted to INB Pictures. Click HERE! **UPDATE** Here is the Mid Module 4 Study Guide for classes 1 & 2 This test is much more streamlined than previous module tests. With weather delays, this test may be pushed to Monday of next week. Timing TBD. I am also including links to help reinforce skills covered in Mod 4 Lessons 7 & 8 (markup/markdown and percent error). For class 3, here is a formula sheet for area of polygons (this information should already be on page 71 in INB). Click here for extra practice finding area and perimeter. This week classes 1 and 2 will be finishing up the first part of Mod 4 (percent increase and decrease, markup and markdown, interest) and should be looking at a test on Friday. This will be a shorter test than previous module tests. Study guides will be distributed on Wednesday. Next week we will begin the last part of Module 4 which covers topics including scale factor (this topic was originally introduced in Module 1) and mixture problems. Class 3 will be taking the "chunked" version of their End of Mod 3 test on Monday (this is in the form of two questions, each worth 4 - 8 points). This will cover geometry of circles and composite shapes which contain circles. Students will need to understand area, circumference and perimeter for these shapes. We completed a review sheet in the form of a "While You Were Out" letter to an absent student (see here for answer key). This along with exit tickets, quizzes as well as notes in their workbook and INB will be excellent study materials. The final topics for Module 3 will talk about finding surface area and volume for 3-D shapes. In celebration of Pi Day last week (celebrated a day late due to the PD day on Wednesday), students had the opportunity to compete in a "Pi Bee" in which they recited as many digits of pi from memory as they could. The overall winner was able to recite 42 digits! Students also colored a poster (see below) which we will be displaying in our hallway. Keep an eye out for report cards which will go home next week!
Have a great week! |
