UPDATE: Click HERE for the End of Mod 1 Study Guide Ans Key.
UPDATE: PCA will be starting a Student Council! Click HERE for more information. Greetings! As we finish up the month of January we will be looking at our End of Module 1 test most likely on Thursday. Please click HERE for the study guide. The last few lessons in Module 1 will cover scale ratio (similar to a key on a map where a certain number of inches, for example, may represent a given number of miles). We will also be computing actual area given scale drawing dimensions and a scale factor. Here are some helpful links to review scale factor and scale ratio. Scale factor video Scale ratio (scale of a model) video I am also including a link for an extra practice worksheet on sales, discounts, markups, commission etc. This focuses on the material we covered in Lesson 14. Please note the answer key is on page 2 so you can check your work. CLICK HERE FOR THE WORKSHEET. Last week there were 13 perfect scores for the Quizizz on Volume, Surface Area and geometry of circles. Great job! This week's Quizizz will focus on proportional relationships and sales/discounts. The code is 742894. Good luck! Even though it may seem early, I wanted to include a link for access to the Smarter Balance Practice and Training Test Site. This link will open a pdf which then has links for various resources including the practice test site. I've also included the link for SmarterBalanced.org to the right which you can use to access practice tests. Please check out these resources with your student. Although we will be practicing in class (students have already begun seeing practice problems on their warm-ups), the more exposure they can get to these types of questions and the format, the better. We will be testing in May (exact dates TBD). This week is Spirit Week! Monday: Pajama Day Tuesday: Future Day (wear clothes that show what career you want to pursue) Wednesday: PCA Pride Day Thursday: Crazy Hair/Hat Day Friday: Sports Day Also, please be on the lookout for Progress Reports which go home with students on Thursday! Have a great week!
