2/20 - Happy Snow Day! Here is some additional practice for our test tomorrow! Ans key is on pg 2
**Tues 2/19 - Grade sheets were handed out to all students today. Parents/Guardians - please make sure they are signed and returned to school as soon as possible. Thank you! Hello! Here we are in another short week! On Wednesday students will be taking the Mid Module 4 test which will assess student's knowledge of material from Lessons 1-11. Students received a study guide last week which will be very similar to the test. Last week students also had the opportunity to participate in several review activities including a post-it peer review activity in which students created questions relating to material from lessons 1-11 and shared these with their classmates. Students answered a given question on the back of the post-it note and then discussed answers with their peers if there was a case in which their answers did not agree. Students created some very creative and thought-provoking questions that really challenged each other's skills! Students also worked on a higher-order-thinking review sheet on Friday. This sheet can be found here if needed. Understanding percents and the relationship Part = Percent * Whole is a critical skill for 7th grade math and is also why we are taking additional days to ensure a solid level of understanding of this topic. Please ensure INB's are up-to-date as we will be taking a notebook quiz in the near future. Check out the INB Pictures tab if you are missing notes. As we near the end of February and near closer to state testing, I wanted to provide some links for students and their families to check out for additional practice. Click here for a link for Smarter Balanced overview with a link at the bottom for sample questions and tests (what does a test look like under Common Questions). Students should also be familiar with the Desmos scientific calculator which will be available for some of the test questions (approximately 70% for 7th grade). This type of calculator is different than what students used in 6th grade and is something we will also review in class. However, I would highly recommend that students gain additional familiarity with these tools outside of class. This week's Quizizz will involve additional practice with percents. Code is 114097. Quiz is due on Thursday evening. Upcoming Events:
Have a great week! Comments are closed.
