We are getting closer and closer to the holidays - it's hard to believe it is already that time of year! Last week we enjoyed watching The Nutcracker ballet show. Students did an amazing job!
During class this week, we will be finishing up the material for Mid Module 1 (Lessons 6 - 10) and most likely looking at a test early next week. Last Friday students created posters in class depicting various proportional or non-proportional relationships. They were able to determine proportionality using tables (looking for a constant value of k) and graphs (looking for straight lines through the origin). This week we will continue using our knowledge of equations to understand how proportional relationships can be represented using real-world scenarios. We will use what we know about dependent and independent variables to ensure our equations are set up properly and we will also be making some connections with the constant of proportionality and unit rate. There is also a new Quizizz this week that will be due on Thursday night. The code is 329156. This is a refresher on solving inequalities, a skill that many students need additional practice with. Here are some links for additional practice with inequalities as well as our current topic of ratios and proportions. Also, Confirmation of Enrollment forms are due this Friday! Have a great week! Comments are closed.
